Our Team

Richard has always been part of the family business but spent time working in Transport and Logistics. In 2004, Richard left his career in Chapter Oils to join the family business and in 2009, Hooper and Sons ltd was incorporated, alongside JP. Together, they have built the company into what it is now.

Richard has also worked to develop the Transport arm of the business, serving customers all over the South East.

JP joined the family business straight from school originally starting as an Apprentice, before working his way up through the business to foreman and eventually, becoming a director of the business in 2009. He is still very hands on with the operatives on site, undertaking more of an Operations Manager role within the business. JP likes to deal with clients directly ensuring the business provides the highest quality and meeting project programmes.

Toby joined us in 2021, not only with his knowledge from being a qualified Quantity Surveyor, but also having worked for global, national and regional contractors across the construction and civils industry. Toby works closely with John and Richard, making sure that customer satisfaction is always at its highest.

Rob has spent much of his working life in Transport and Logistics. He started out as an HGV driver and progressed to a Transport Manager with his previous employer.

Rob joined the company in 2019 and since then, has worked closely with Richard to grow the transport arm of the business, through new vehicles and working tirelessly to gain the haulage accreditations, such as FORS.

Phil has been part of the company since 2012, working to ensure the IT systems run smoothly and the companies finances are compliant and in good order. Having worked for many years as a Finance Director within the shipping industry, his experience and knowledge is invaluable to us.
